Nineteen (19) young leaders will work together all summer as this summer’s interns. Thirteen (13) of them come from the Neighborhood Ministries community. Our young people have been in a leadership class all year preparing for this responsibility. This team will be changed by all they do this summer, and inevitably impact others in so doing.

Our big Kids Club happens right in the middle of our summer. 500 kids, 120+ leaders … amazing fun and life-changing time together. Leaders have begun Kids Club in two other locations … Albuquerque (4th year) and the newest one in Chinle, on the Navajo Nation. We will help with those sister Kids Clubs this summer, which is always our joy and privilege.

Getting into the beauty of God’s creation and out of the heat of Phoenix, spending significant time together and growing spiritually are always the hallmarks of camps. Small groups are taking trips together and a few larger camps are also planned. (Teens to Horncreek in Colorado, Barrio Works youth to AZ Outdoor Adventures and 5-7th graders to our own Mountain Meadows Camp in Christopher Creek.) This summer will be an incredible gift of God’s grace to so many.

There are many ways to get involved with us in the summer and one way is to help financially. As we deliberated over the cutbacks earlier in the year we made a decision to preserve the key components of our summer. Summer is a gift to our NM family that lasts all year. Please help if you are able.

"Quote"
To say prayers in a decent, delicate way is not heavy work. But to pray really,
to pray till hell feels the ponderous stroke, to pray till the iron gates of
difficulty are opened, till the mountains of obstacles are removed, till the
mists are exhaled and the clouds are lifted, and the sunshine of a cloudless day
brightens-this is hard work, but it is God's work, and man's best labor.
